BREATHE 'N YIN
In these sessions you will learn to release tension from your body and I will teach you how to breathe in a more relaxed and lighter manner.
By applying elements from Yin yoga, Mindfulness and Buteyko Breathing Method and Oxygen Advantage, I help you to feel how you can bring yourself back into balance between body & mind. Release, stretch, relax and recharge.
Leave the old you behind and take the new you with you
These sessions help to create space in the entire body. Listening to the silence in yourself and around you. Bring calmness to your mind. Releasing body tension and stretching the connective tissue (fascia). This is where the magic begins.
In addition, the focus is on relaxed nasal breathing where I use some breathing exercises from the Buteyko Breathing Method and Oxygen Advantage. These breathing techniques are also used to improve health issues, (and sometimes they disappear), like stress, burn out, asthma, hyperventilation, panic attacks, long covid symptoms, fatigue, and improving the performance of athletes.
The poses and breathing exercises are not complicated and are accessible to both beginners and those who are more advanced.
Breathe 'n Yin can also be combined with walking, surfing, running or other sports. It helps to remain flexible in your joints and you will recover faster from stiffness.
The result of regularly practicing Breathe 'n Yin is a flexible, energetically stable, agile and ultimately stronger body.
BREATHE 'N YIN PLUS = Breathe 'n Yin + Buteyko
This program is a combination of relaxing exercises of Breathe 'n Yin plus a full training of all the (intense) exercises of the Buteyko Breathing Method.
Buteyko Breathing Method:
'The simple fact is that when many people breathe too much, it alters the natural levels of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs.
And causes constriction of the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and airways. This can lead to numerous health problems.
Bringing breathing volume towards normal and making the switch from mouth to nose breathing helps to alleviate such health problems.'
- Patrick Mc Keown - Buteyko Practitioner and Teacher.
The Buteyko Breathing Method involves:
Learning how to unblock the nose using breath holding exercises.
Switching from mouth breathing to nasal breathing
Relaxation of the diaphragm and creating a mild air shortage.
Making small and easy lifestyle changes to assist with better long-term breathing methods.
Measuring your breathing volume and tracking your progress using a special breath hold test called the Control Pause.
